This presario f572us loves to reboot

My compaq presario f572us will not stop rebooting. It reboots every 30 seconds and does nothing else. There is no video at all. Lights come on, sounds like it is starting to boot, no video shows up, and then it starts over. This is my sis in laws laptop and I have nothing but the laptop and power cord.

You may have a hardware issue.

Nvidia chipset is very sensitive to heat and it tends to brake the solder due to overheat.

 

Try to open your notebook and clean the heat-sink and applied decent thermal paste.

If it does not help, reflow would be the last effort.
