How do I disable the touchpad on my hp laptop ProBook 4525s running Windows 7? I use a mouse and when typing my thumb will sometimes touch the pad and my typing will be moved into a different sentence or paragraph.
Thanks for your help.

My synaptics touchpad icon disappeared from my system tray and now it doesn't turn off when I plug in a USB mouse. How can I get the system tray icon back and also get it to auto turn off when a usb mouse is plugged in? ![]()
