HP Support Assistant provided aboslutely no assistance at all. It was just as useless as the HP tech support team.

ken, where did you get these drivers? I got the same mouse problem, right after the initial boot! Apparently the support cant or wont do the job so please post the link.
Like you all, I have been buying HP/Dell for a long while , but I am going to give this dv6-3236 a rating of zero and switch to another maker.

I went to the HP.com site, then to the section for downloads for this partiicular model:
Look under "driver - graphics" for the AMD graphics driver, which is about 127 megs

Hi
I have the same problem and I updated the ATI driver. But it didn't work for me. But I haven't the exact same model. I have the HP pavillon dv6-1310ez. Do you have any suggestions which could help?

"After buying HP products for decades, I don't know if I ever will again."
Amen, Ken. If you had asked me 6 months ago, I'd have never even considered buying a laptop from anyone but HP. My new dv6 has been nothing but trouble since I took it out of the box. The USB problem is the latest in a long list of debacles.....tech support's fallback is always to do a complete system restore, which ain't gonna happen. I've put days of time in installing/configuring software, and refuse to undo it all because of HP's design flaws....I'm buying 2 new laptops in the next month or so, one for my brother and one for my fiance, and I can promise you neither will be coming from HP.....my dv6 has been nothing but a source of aggravation. What happened to HP?
