Hi, I recently bought a Probook 4441s-445TX. I installed Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on it but I couldn't get my 2 USB ports on the right side of my laptop to work. I looked into this and it seems like HP Probooks series have similar issue as well. The USB ports on the right (USB 2.0) don't work at all, they won't recognize any devices nor they can recharge any devices via USB cable.
Any suggestion? Am I missing a driver here (I checked Device Manager and it says I miss one driver but it's unknown device with Hardware ID "ACPI/HPQ6000" which I still couldn't find the driver for it, btw, but I don't think it has anything to do with the USB ports.

Hi:
Did you install the chipset driver?
That controls the USB ports.
You probably should aslo install the USB 3.0 driver.
The HPQ 0006 is probably this...

Hi Paul,
Thank you for your suggestion. I did installed those drivers but they still didn't work. I even went as far as installing Linux on my laptop to see if that would work but unfortunately that didn't work either. Is this a hardware problem then?
Thank you again,
Pai

You're very welcome, Pai.
Sorry none of that worked.
Try setting the BIOS to its defaults.
Try a hard reset of the notebook.

If none of those work, I suspect there is a motherboard issue and you will need to contact HP technical support.

Hi:
If the notebook is still under warranty, it is time for you to call HP technical support.
Good luck,
Paul

Yeah it's still under warranty. But I guess I'll have to wait to contact HP Thailand later. Thx for your help Paul.
