Upgrade motherboard

Dear sirs,

1. Product Name and Number
• HP Pavilion DV-9212ea

2. Operating System installed (if applicable)
•   Windows XP/7 64-bit

3. Error message (if any)
nvidia 7600 fail

4. Any changes made to your system before the issue occurred
DDR2 - 2 Gbt

Now I have motherboard  intel 945pm/Intel Core 2 Duo T5200 (1,6 GHz)/NVIDIA 7600gm (HP pn:434659-001).

Can I establish motherboard intel965pm/NVIDIA 8600gm (HP pn:447983-001, 461069-001 ) as it is better on parameters?
Whether they are compatible in the sizes and sockets?

Thanks.

Re: Upgrade motherboard

If you know that >>your model and only your model<< of laptop was made with a better GPU you can buy that motherboard with the better GPU to fit into your laptop. But it would most probably cost you more to exchange the motherboard of that laptop, than to buy a laptop for a couple of hundred

Re: Upgrade motherboard

Velenoso, Thanks for your opinion. Graphics Processing Unit Nv7600 (256 Mbt) and Nv8600 (512 Mbt), the last is a little better.

Motherboard will send from China, and I have no possibility to compare old and new motherboards therefore addressed on a forum.

I like the laptop, I want to make him the worker.
