Hello; I recently got a HP laptop model DV7-6C95DX from Best Buy. I was told by an amateur salesperson at Best Buy that it had a blu-ray player. But I now discovered it does not. I don't want to return it, because I spent so much time deleting the HP programs that came with it. I also installed all my software, and transferred all my confidential files into it, and have been using it full blast. It is a very powerful and fast laptop, and I'm happy with it except for no blu-ray.
My question is Can I just remove the cd-dvd player that it came with, and then insert a blu-ray unit in it's place? If so, what model or part number do I need to get, and where can I get it from? Also I know I must have a graphics card that can handle blu-ray. Do I ? I was in windows 7 device manager, and it indicated an Intel hd graphics device. Is that good enough?
Thanks for any help you can offer about upgrading to blu-ray capability.
