Webcam Not Detected [HP TrueVision HD]

I have the HP Pavilion dv7-6b57nr Entertainment Notebook PC. Currently running Windows 7.  When I open the program provided for the webcam (YouCam) it says webcam not detected.  I have reinstalled this program a few times to attempt to install the driver for the webcam but the issue persists with an error saying "No Webcam Detected" or whatever it is.  I have been to the device manager and the webcam is not listed there (which I know would be Imaging Devices or something like that).  I have heard that many others with dv7's have been having issues with the webcam as well. I have not had my laptop for very long. Some of the solutions I've heard that work are smacking it which I've tried but doesn't work. I've read up that this issue is merely an issue in workmanship and is problem with wiring. I would like to know how to get this fixed please. I would like to get this fixed as soon as possible

Hey bud, im on the same boat. reading thru this board read something about a possible software fix but cant confirm yet. I really dont want to send it in, hoping it is a software fix.

Although I have the HP DV6T and it says cannot find my webcam.
