Wireless light

My Compaq Presario Notebook PC F572US wireless light stays amber.  I've moved the switch left and right.

Re: Wireless light

Hi,

It's always worth trying a Hard Reset as follows.

Shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold  down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery, plug in the AC Adapter and start the notebook.

Regards,

Re: Wireless light

Hi,

Open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Network Adapters - what devices are listed here and do any have an error icon against them?
