i have a envy 15 1100t cto with w7 64. i just replaced the 4 gigs of ram with a 2x4 1333 10600 dual channel kit into the internal slots and cpu-z registers all spec's correctly except it shows single channel,how do i run this ram in dual channel mode to take avantage it? i7 proc.

What version on CPU-z are you running? Have you tried memtest86 also?

running the very latest version of cpu-z and it corrrectly shows all the spec's even on other systems i own. i'm trying to get a simple answer to a simple queston is there certain slots the ram needs to be in or do i need to get in the bios and set dual up?? the original ram was in the same slots and cpu-z said it also was in sinle channel.

- Cpu-z sometimes doesn't see dual channel, especially on notebooks. Thats why I asked about memtest.
- PC has two slots, primary and expansion. Must have paired Dual DDR3 memory, one in each.
- There is no setting in the BIOS required to enable dual channel.
