dv5-1325 mouse/touch pad

Yesterday touch pad stopped working when tapped.  Can still use it to direct cursor, but have to double click buttons to complete task. Any idea how to fix this?  Thanks!

Try updating the Synaptics Touchpad driver.  (click here to download, choose "run" and go though the setup process)

If for some reason that driver doesn't work, try this one instead.

installed the driver, which didn't help, then uninstalled it.  now it's working. weird, but at least im up and running again

Flakiest piece of crap I've ever used; scroll feature works, when and where IT wants to; works when I don't intend it to and is very inconsistent when I want to use it; I'm probably going to opt for an external mouse and just shut this piece of junk off.
