dv7-6160ca usb 3 drivers not loading

So I have did a fresh install of windows 7 on this laptop and the whole left side usb is not working and I can't seem to get the usb3 drivers to load. I downloaded many different drivers from the web site and none worked. The laptop is only four days old.

Hi,

You should just need to install the USB 3.0 Host Controller on the link below.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp54001-54500/sp54002.exe

After the installation has completed, restart the notebook.

So I have already tryred that driver after installing it says usb 3.0 host controller not found and two ports keep showing up in the device manager with yellow exclmation. I have already tryed the Fresco Logic drivers

Hi,

Just to double check, go into Device Manager, right click on either problem device and select Properties.  Click the Details tab, choose Hardware Ids from the dropdown box and post back with the details shown under Value.

I found the drivers it was amd usb 3 drivers. I never knew they made some lol. learn something new ever day. Would be nice if hp listed the drivers under 6160ca driver page. Driver that worked for me was http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=32...

Also my wireless was broadcom which also was no on there list

I have the same problem, but cannot find the NEC drivers anywhere. Does anybody know how to turn the following into a file that I can get to, for drivers to install.
