Re: dv7 hard drive caddy cable

What you need is hard drive mounting kit, that will have the screws, the connector cable and caddy... it orderable from here... http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=605415-001

Re: dv7 hard drive caddy cable

I am not sure if anyone told you, but the dv7 4000 and 5000 series uses a different cable. It needs to be longer on these two series of DV7. If you purchase a kit made for a series 3000 or earlier it will be too short.

Re: dv7 hard drive caddy cable

Hi

I have a HP DV7-4032eo and I want to add another hard disk. The plan is to move the current default disk (7200rpm) to bay 2 and install an OCZ Vertex 3 SSD in bay 1.

I need the caddy and cable for the ssd.

I looked around, but can't seem to find the caddy-kit anywhere. Help please!

Hi, jvlarsen:

You need the long connector cable and the caddy.
