Hi - I'm new to this. Not sure how to do this but I have a problem. My desktop will not power up. Not even a fan. The power button just continues to flash blue and orange. It's not the power unit. I think it's hibernating or something. Tried unplugging, replugging, holding power button for 5 sec then 20 sec. Of course the extended warranty ended 16 days ago so Hp support says I'm at the mercy of you guys. Thanks

Typically.. if a desktop computer will only "light" up.. but you see no activity with the fans, HDD doesn't turn on.. or possibly you see the CPU fan spin for just a few seconds.. it's more than likely going to be only two possible hardware problems.
Bad motherboard.. or a bad CPU.
It wouldn't be hibernating once you pulled the power from it.. that completely resets the system and erases what may have been stored in the systems RAM.
