how to get ride of viruses

I am pretty sure i have viruses on my computer but i have no idea how to use my Titanium spyware. the guys at best buy said they installed it but nothing is happening when i click it. I just want to know how to check for viruses and get rid of them please!!!

i myself have the full version of this: http://www.malwarebytes.org/ it's free, and works very well.
