hp dv6-1230us number lock not working

so yea, I just bought this laptop brand new yesterday the number lock button was working and now it has stopped.. the light doesnt even light up anymore when i press it. can someone help me? thanks

did u try the "Fn" key + Numlock?

it acually works without pressing the fn key because this is a full boarded keyboard. the number pad works but the light doesnt come on like its supposed to..
