Hum. Cleaning off the keyboard with air should not have made the keyboard not function properly. I would recommend working though this document to make sure the keyboard language is set up properly:
Incorrect Characters are Displayed when Using Keyboard
Let me know if this resolves the issue.
Thanks!
Sean

We are having the same keyboard issues. Our unit gets extremely hot and typing issues exist both when we are on the internet or working locally. We have an airduster product and use it regularly so it is not a "dust or dirt" issue. This unit is messed up all around.: Battery, trackpad, fan, housing material melting etc.

I have forwarded your problem to the appropriate team for review. The laptop should not be getting hot enough to melt the case. Did you also try the article posted by SeanS?

If the above article did not help try using a USB keyboard. If the USB keyboard works than there may be a hardware problem with the laptop keyboard. If the USB keyboard produces the same problems than it is most likely not a hardware problem.
Also other than the can of air used to clean out dust has anything else changed recently since the problem occurred?
