keyboard- hp mini 110-3018ca

Hi. I bought my hp mini a week ago and the first thing I noticed after opening it was the missing keys (Page Up, Page Down) on the keyboard! I mainly use my netbook for reading files and I'm used to just pressing the Page UP and Page Down keys for quick browsing in my old laptop. I checked the manual, and it says to press 'fn' with the arrow keys, but nothing happens when I do that. Is there anything else I can press that can function as Page UP Page Down keys? Thank a lot.

Re: keyboard- hp mini 110-3018ca

I have the same problem!!  Someone please help!  I tried function and up/down/side buttons but they do not work.  I think HP mini 110 does not have the same keyboard as the other mini's.  Is there a way to configure your keyboard so that I can program it to work with the function & arrow keys?  Many thanks.

Hi, I have also been frustrated with how to page up and down.

I looked online and you have to press the function key then press the up or down arrow.

Hope this helps!!!!

Yes, on most netbooks you have to use Fn key with the cursor keys to get Page Up, Page Down, Home and End.

Re: keyboard- hp mini 110-3018ca

I have the same problem. And the fn + arrow keys do NOT work. I can't believe that HP would omit this key, it is very commonly used! And they can't argue that space is the problem, all they needed to do was make the fn+arrow keys work! That's how other manufactures of mini laptops handle it. If I had known that this key was missing I would not have purchased this laptop. Scrolling is EXTREMELY SLOW AND FRUSTRATING!!!

Can anyone advise how we can configure the keyboard ourselves to add this function?

Re: keyboard- hp mini 110-3018ca

Does any key on the Mini stated "Pg Up" or "Pg Down" somewhere? It might not be the cursor keys. I believe all netbooks have that functionality somewhere. My Mini 311 has it on the up/down cursor keys but my brother's girlfriend on her Samsung, there are separate Pg Up and Pg Down keys.

Re: keyboard- hp mini 110-3018ca

Obviously there is no key on the keyboard that says "pg up" or "pg down" on it, otherwise, I would not be posting this problem in the forum.

Care to show a photo of the netbook's keyboard? All the images of the 110 I see online have Pg Up and Pg Down as accessed by using Fn + Cursor Up or Down. Or are you saying that it is marked as such but doesn't work like that? Maybe something is off in the keyboard drivers or layout settings if that is the case...

There is NOTHING marked on the keyboard. Believe me. I do not need to take a photo.

Re: keyboard- hp mini 110-3018ca

I've seen some of the 200s not have it, but not any of the 110s. Maybe you happened to pick a 110 that for some reason does not have it. Your only solution is going to be a mouse with a scroll wheel then...
