In my laptop HP630 had 4GB of RAM. I have installed additional 4GB. But the Bios shows 4GB of memory instead of 8, and Windows 7 x64 - also shows the memory capacity 4 GB (3.86 available). However, the program CPU-Z displays properly connected the card in the first and second slot, and the total volume of 8192 Megabytes.
How to make Windows to use all the memory?
update: 28.04.2012
The new board was defective, the store replaced under warranty, and are now defined all 8 GB
problem solved
