What is the maximum hard drive gb I can use in this 14 dv1331se Laptop?

The largest offered by HP was 100 gb and it is a PATA (not the newer SATA) hard drive so we are not 100% sure it will take anything larger than 120 gigs. It theoretically should take the larger drive based on the chipset (Intel 855GM) but we never know what the HP engineers did with the BIOS. To have LBA (large block addressing) support to run drives larger than 120 gigs, the chipset, the BIOS and the OS all have to support it. Windows XP above SP2 and even Windows 2000 SP4 support LBA, and your chipset does. Amazon sells a 160 gig drive for your computer which leads me to believe they have tested it and it works but to be 100% safe stick with a 120 gig 5400 rpm 2.5 inch PATA hard drive:
