scrolling on HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook Computer

I would like to be able to scroll using the side of my touchpad on my HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook Computer, but I can't find a setting to make it work.  Is it possible? How?

Is there an icon for your touchpad in the bottom right of your screen?  Hover your cursor over icon down there and see if you can find it.  If you find it double click on it.  In there you'll find options for vertical or horizontal scrolling and other options for your touchpad.

I have the same Problem! The two-finger-scrolling is really, really annoying and doesn't work all the time, so i would really like to have a scrolling function on the side of the touchpad with only one finger. How can I enable that?

I have the same question-I got my HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook Computer today and can't figure out how to scroll on the touchpad--product number QJ912AV (I don't know the model number probably because I don't know where to find it!)!

I just purchased a dv6.  I was also very frustrated with the two finger scrolling and response of the touch pad.  I finally figured out how to get it back to one finger scrolling and it is working much better.  Here is how I did it:

- Go to change mouse settings (type mouse into search bar on start menu)

- Click on device settings tab

- Click on settings tab on middle right

- Uncheck two finger scrolling at top

- Make sure scrolling is checked down below in middle

Here is where I kept getting lost

-  To the right of the scrolling check item , hover over the settings icon and click it

- Check Enable Vertical Scrolling and Enable Horizontal Scrolling (if desired)

- Adjust scrolling speed (I found it worked better to increase the speed a notch)

- Click close and Apply

- Happy scrolling

Mouse settings is the way to go.  Thanks.  Do you find the increments in horizontal scrolling to be very small thus requiring a lot of scrolls to move any distance?  Any info on how to change that?

I was never able to find any of the scroll change programs.
