some shift key combinations not working on laptop HP HDX16t

Hi, I have a laptop which I bought around a month ago; suddenly I've noticed two problems:

- the first one which is not so bad is a couple of gray lines in the bottom of the screen that looks like "dead" pixels, at the beginning it was about 1.5 inches but now it reduced to one line about 1/4 of an inch after using the laptop all afternoon

- the second one which is worse, is that some shift - key combination are not working, for instance I cannot get left-shf- zxcv, or right-shf uiop, and cannot get with either one shft-1234 working.

Please help

Hi,

You may return this model to shop and get new one if You have it for less the 30 days or just give to the service. You've got warranty on this model.

Yes I do have exactly same problem which started occuring all off a sudden. Is it a Hardware problem with certain keyboard on HP laptops or is it some virus of software bug. I have HP G72 250US.

 

The reason I dont think its a hardware issue is that same key's work otherwise.

 

Problem statement --

 

Some shift - key combination are not working, for instance I cannot get left-shf- zxcv, or right-shf uiop, and cannot get with either one shft-1234 working.
