Is the hp pavilion g6-1d28dx 2 core?
The HP product information page shows it to have Intel Pentium B940 processor,but does not show the cores.
Intel does show this CPU to have 2 cores.

Hi:
The processor is a dual core processor. HP does not always define the processor cores.

Sometimes you need to refer to the service manual under product description for more details.
You will see the B series processors also listed as a dual core processors in chapter 1, page 1.
(Intel Pentium B950 (2.1 GHz, 2 MB L3 cache), Dual 35 W)

Why the manual does not have your 940 processor even listed, I don't know.

Yes the B940s HP uses are the same as everyone else. This is a dual core processor.
