the mouse pad on my hp pavilion dv6 stopped working after only having the laptop for a day

my HP Pavilion dv6 3139tx touchpad stopped working after only having the laptop for one day!

im using an external mouse for now but would really like to get the touchpad fixed

that does not turn the touchpad on or off, have already tried. :smileysad:

It most likely appears to be a hardware problem. Please contact store or place where you purchased it else contact HP.

h im having the same problem iv downloaded what uv said but it still isntr working but only my plug in mouse works also when i go into my mouse options it says "device cannot start - code 10" plzzzzzz help
