I just purchased my laptop last year, November. It's HP Pavillion dm3. I usually lock the touch pad and use an external mouse. These past few days, the lock button just above the touch pad is not working anymore so i cannot lock it. Please help. ![]()

OK, So to start with, try and reinstall touchpad drivers and see if that fixes the issue...
if i could get the extact model number of the unit and OS it is running on, I can help you will the finding the driver as well

thanks, i tried it but it's really not working. the pin light beside it is still white which means it's unlocked.
it's supposed to be orange when locked.

Locking as in the touchpad On/Off Switch is not working?
Have you install the Touchpad driver and checked... Post the link, just in case... ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp44501-45000/sp44940
