Hi,I've upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 Home and now the CD drive is missing and displays an error code"10" DEVICE CANNOT START, under Device Manager.
Looked for updated drivers on HP Support, there are none for CD drive.
Cannot roll back driver,greyed out.
Used Restore to revert back 2 months and still no progress. Removed recently installed software from HP(C5280) printer as well.
Immediately after upgrade,CD drive worked fine. Even loaded music into iTunes.
I'm at a loss. Any ideas?

Try running the MS automated fix-it tool for DVD's

Paul,Thank you for the quick reply!
Although the automated Fix-It Tool didn't do the trick, the link you provided ,pointed me in the right direction.
It seems it's a well known issue of incompatibility between the TS-L663B and Windows 7 upgrade.
I just had to read the Let Me Fix It Myself solution as that pertains to Windows7 and edit the Registry.

You're very welcome.
Kudos to you too for pointing out an alternative if the fix-it tool doesn't do the trick.
