upgraded to IE9 and Digital Persona Personal doesnt work

Ive upgraded to ie9 and now my fingerprint reader doesnt pop up like it used to when i go to a website it knows.  Any ideas

Probably the Digital Persona extension could've been disabled. Try Tools (Alt+x) --> Manage Addons, under Toolbars and extensions, check whether the Digital Persona Plugin is enabled or disabled. If it is disabled, enabling it should make it work. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Nesta, but I´ve checked this option and it is enabled.

It seems that IE9 is not compatible with HP´s fingerprint reader yet, like google chrome. Hope I am wrong.

I am currently using IE9 with Digital Persona version 4.11.3826. on a Windows 7 64bit system. The reader works with both 32 and 64 bit versions of the browser, but it does not function in InPrivate mode. Checking if your version of Digital Persona is updated may help.

Well, I really can´t explain what happened, but suddenly it started to work. Now I can use it flawlessly, like I was doing with firefox.

Before posting, I did check all the configurations and software updates, and everything was ok.

Now I can confirm IE9, with Win 7 6 bits, is fully compatible with my Dv4 1590br notebook fingerprint reader.

Mine has been working fine since the upgrade to IE9. Thus far, it's been a pretty smooth upgrade.

Same here. I checked the add-ons and the DigitalPersona Personal doesn't show.

Should that be under "toolbars and extensions"?

I selected to show all add-ons and can't see the DigitalPersona Personal.

It shows in Firefox and when Firefox once attempted to install an update, I got a warning that it would not work anymore. So I am limping alone to use Firefox for all sites where i want to use the fingerprint reader to log in.

Apparently DigitalPersona doesn't support this product anymore and there isn't much help from HP.

Meanwhile, 3 hours later, after uninstalling and re-installing DigitalPersona Personal 4.11 it finally works.

HP is not of much help

With the automatic model detection the software doesn't show on the selection for my model. I had to search for the download ouside HP.

Doesn't leave a good impression about HP, they would only help for paid support.
