hello
i have hp pav dv2910tx notebook .with only 2 usb ports in it was forced to buy a usb hub.i connected mouse and usb wireless modem for internet in it.mouse responded well but i am not able to connect to internet via usb hub.i have message in my device manager about stopped network adapter.

There are limits on current for usb ports. A laptop has a hard time with USB items which draw a lot of current (relatively speaking...it is micro amps). Replace your usb hub with a powered one that comes with a AC power adapter. .USB ports crap out when there is too much power demanded of them and the southbridge chip will follow suit.
I looked at the specs on your laptop. Doesn't yours have an integrated wireless adapter or an RJ-45 connector for ethernet LAN? Why not buy a ExpressCard/54 wireless card? If you have wireless internet it is far more efficient to use the interface that the laptop has built in rather than fool around with usb wireless cards.
