My battery charge light on my Pavilion has started constantly blinking.  Is this an indication of a battery problem?  How do I make it stop.  It is very annoying.

Hi Rerden,

Thank you for the information.

I would request you to perform the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Disconnect the AC power adapter cord, remove the battery, and hold the Power button for 30 seconds. This will discharge the notebooks system capacitors.

2. Connect the AC adapter to a working power outlet or surge protector and connect it to the notebook.

3. Press the Power button to turn on the notebook.

Check if the issue get resolved. Otherwise I would request you to perform the battery health check using following link....

my Pavilion dv5-1126em is also having same problem. Its not charging and the light is blinking continuously. Can anyone pls help me in this regard.

You recommendation was not helpful to me. I assume it is a hardware problem and it seems to be a general construction bug. Many people were claiming the same but nobody from HP support gave a helpful solution to this problem, at least I was not able to find it.
