I have an HP Envy with a broken left hinge, which I've seen many times in this forum. It was never dropped but just one day appeared to break. The notebook is under warranty...can it be sent in and repaired/replaced? Please let me know what steps I need to take to get this fixed.
The laptop was purchased in September 2013.

Hi, I have a similar issue with the hinges on my Envy 15t-j000. Didn't notice this thread when I first posted. More info here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware/Env
HP Envy TouchSmart 15 Notebook PC
Product number: C8P47AV
The product is still under warranty for a couple of weeks, according to HP website. I bought it just over a year ago.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!

While trying to open or close my hp envy 15. The hinges cause the base of the laptop to pry apart.
Have never dropped the laptop or caused any physical damage to it.
