Hi Demetris,

It's definitely a Cyberlink (QuickPlay) error - you can confirm this as follows.

Open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the entry for HP QuickPlay and select Uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the notebook.

Let me know if this corrects the error.

Regards,

DP-K

Hi,

Can you post back with the following.

1.  The full Model No. and Product No. of the notebook - see Here for a guide on locating this information.

2.  The full version of the operating system you are using ( ie Windows 7 64bit ).

3.  Do you have HP QuickPlay software installed on the notebook?

Regards,

Hi Demetris,

Try using Recovery Manager to reinstall your HP QuickPlay software - the procedure for using recovery manager to reinstall Software and Drivers is detailed in the document on the link below.

Recovery Manager - Windows Vista

After the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook and see if this has corrected the issue.

Best regards,

Hi David,

I've done what you said, but i still got the same error !

Is it possible that it might be from another program, because as i remember I didn't have that issue before i tried to install an update/upgrade for my graphic card . And now that i'm thinking of it, I am not able to open the NVIDIA Control Panel since then.

Every time I get the error:

The NVIDIA Display Panel extension cannot be created.

Possible reasons include:

Version mismatch Reinstalling display drivers may solve this problem.

My graphic card is: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT   512MB

Again thanks a lot for your time,

Demetris.
