Connection problem with charger

I own a HP laptop G7000 which is out of warranty, it has now developed a problem which means that when I plug in my charger there is no electrical input. The charger is fine as I have bought a new one and it works on my sisters identical one

After contacting a local technician who said the problem was with the soldering to the motherboard and that a repair had little chance of success, I was wondering if there was any way of externally charging my laptop battery?

Thanks

Re: Connection problem with charger

They make external battery chargers, though I haven't been able to find one for your specific laptop.  Try searching for something like this:
