My laptop is a Compaq Presario CQ60 415SL and I have an issue with my integrated webcam: i cannot recover the original driver in any of the ways listed in the Support page. http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01636206

The device manager doesn't find any new hardware even if i shut down my pc, get off the battery, and press for 10 seconds the power button.

If i try to install the cyberlink YouCam software, the installation is aborted by the "Webcam not found" error.

I dont trust  the unofficial websites so, where can i find the original driver installer for my pc model?

Please perform the steps as shown below to locate the Hardware ID

Step 01. Click on the Start Button and type in Device Manger in the start search box

Step 02. Please launch the Device Manager and look for Imaging Device in the list

Step 03. Please expand Imaging Device

Step 04. Please right click on the Webcame Device and click on properties

Step 05. Go to details tab at the top and select Hardware IDs from the dropdown list

Now you will see the complete details of the Hardware IDs. Please share the complete information with me, so

I can help you find the correct driver

I'm sorry but I cannot help you. Maybe I wasn't clear. In the Device Manager there isn't any Imaging device listed, neither the label "Imaging Device"

According to the message you have recently posted I would like to confirm that this could be a hardware issue and I strongly recommend you to immediately Contact HP Technical Support over the Phone for further assistance without any delay to get your Notebook diagnosed and serviced by an authorized HP Certified Engineer

You can also Check your warranty Here to verify the warranty status
