I'm a bit of a dud when it comes to tech speak, so it's entirely possible I'm just missing something in my searches (if so - sorry, and thanks for the help!).

Need to order a replacement battery for my HP 2000 Notebook PC. I've found batteries that are compatible with the 2000 series, but they always list an additional model number. Both my HP Support Assistant and fn+esc key list my notebook's PN as simply 'HP 2000 Notebook PC', but can't find a battery that lists it (without additional characters in the model PN). When I search for 'HP 2000 Notebook PC' in the PN feild, or by serial or Product Number, in the HP Parts Store it comes up with an error every time. Am I going crazy? Does anyone know which replacement battery I need? Or at least the specs?

Thanks in advace!

Hi:

I would remove the battery and get the HP part number from it and use that for your search.

You can even see if the part # is still available from HP or if the part was superceded by a new one.

Enter the part # from your battery in the applicable box at the link below.

The part # will be arranged like this...######-###

Thanks Paul! HP Parts Store was still being weird with the part number, but I was able to find the battery by the part number elsewhere. Much appreciated 🙂
