HP EliteBook 2760p Windows 7 HP ProtectTools Encrypted C Drive Problems

I have an HP EliteBook 2760p with windows 7 64 bit, factory installation.

A month or 2 ago I enabled the HP ProtectTools Drive Encryption on the C: drive.

Yesterday it quit booting.

Tried all of the available safe mode boot options with failed boot in all modes.

Next, I tried to boot to a Win7 64 bit installation drive and the System recovery options do not show the C: drive in the list of Windows 7 installations to repair. It only shows the D: drive which I believe is the factory recovery partition.

Also, when I boot to the Win 7 installation drive, the encryption prompt does not appear.

What should I try next?
