HP Envy 15t-1200 CTO Touchpad does not work

Tried everything up to & including reinstalling windows.

The drivers are there, windows says the touchpad is there & working as it should, but when I touch the mouse does not move.

*It isn't disabled or set to disable when a USB mouse is connected either.

Quick Check... Check if there is amber LED glowing on the touchpad itself, if yes, you will need to double tap to enable it.... 2nd thing I would like you do is check if the touchpad is working Quickweb/IOS as well....

No, the LED is not glowing, & I don't have Quick Web installed.

Has the OS been changed on the unit or we have same OS that was shipped with the system?

Same one that shipped with the system, Windows 7 Pro x64. It's been restored from recovery discs I recieved from HP.

Re: HP Envy 15t-1200 CTO Touchpad does not work

OK..Great! There are have 2 other environment to test in...As soon as you power on the notebook, I would suggest you tapping the ESC Key... That will take you to Startup Menu... Over there press the F2, It will take you into system Diagnostics enviroment...Over that check if the touchpad works.... Or the other place to test it would be in Recovery partition using F11...

If it does not work both or any one of those environment we are looking at failed touchpad, I would suggest contacting HP Tech Support for setting up a service for getting the Touchpad checked...

It still didn't work in either of those. Thank you though, I appreciate the support. I'll contact HP

Just fixed the problem. Ended up needing the latest BIOS update. Haha. Always the simple things that get me.
