hi,

i can not even enter BIOS i only see a black screen with the sound of the fan!! not hp logo .. no thing

what should i do??

Just had two die this way at my school.     Take out battery, slide off back.  Where is the memory chip.  If it's in the bottom slot.  Take it out and move to the top (nearest the cover) slot.

 

Now try it.   Not sure why as I have 25 of these and these two just stopped.  Now it boots fine.  Original 4 Gb memory from HP.
