HP probook 4730s keyboard issues

[ Edited ]

Hello!

I have been using this laptop for a while.

Some time the keyboard will just out of control, when I press the "P" button, or shift "P", a lot of figure will appear.

Such as "qerwi+upo" and it deletes all my Previous typing..

I searched on the internet, tried the below method already:

1>uninstall keyboard and install again
2>uninstall HP power assistance and install newest version

3> update bios

none can completely solve the problem.

I used 15 mins to type this message because of this issue..

Re: HP probook 4730s keyboard issues

You have tried all the simple stuff. How does an external usb keyboard work for you? If it is OK, then it seems you need to replace the keyboard. Let us know the appropriate language of the keyboard and where you are located and we can help you find a good deal on one and provide detailed instructions. It is a fairly easy and inexpensive fix.

Re: HP probook 4730s keyboard issues

External USB keyboard works perfectly.

In fact, I have asked a local company to replace the keyboard (as the computer has been out of warranty), the same problem still occur...

I am really frustrated about this as I shoudln't have signed the "accept" document when the labtop is in HP repair center last time...

The computer work perfectly expect the annoying keyboard problem..

I tried to detaching the keyboard and clean the connector socket, it may be good for one day, but the problem come back randomly.

Shall I buy another computer because of the this silly problem?
