I have a hp pavilion dv6530ep with 2gb of ram memory and I'm thinking of buying more ram memory.
The thing is i have only 1 more slot and i read somewhere the max ram for this computer is 4gb, can anyone confirm me that? Can i put a 4gb ddr2 ram piece in the slot or i really need to stick with the 4gb and get a 2gb piece.
I'm currently using win 7 ultimate 32 bits and things have been running smoothly but a bit more ram doesn't hurt i think.
Thanks for all your assistance.

Below is the link to the specs page for your notebook.
It supposedly came with 2 x 1 Gb of memory which means both slots should be full.
Since you have the Intel processor and 965 chipset, you should be able to install a 4 GB module in each slot for a maximum of 8 GB, but you need a 64 bit operating system installed to make use of it.
Unfortunately the price of PC2-6400 4 GB memory chips has skyrocketed.
