Hp OMEN
Windows 8.1

Hello Everyone

I was wondering if anyone can help me customize the programmable keys on my HP OMEN.

I would like to know if there is a way to customize them so that by a press of a button I can lets say open Mozilla Firefox or lauch any program?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Yocka, I don't think it's possible to do so....  the programmable keys are designed for key press combination/customization, i.e. P1 key = A+W, P2 = PageDown ...etc, not for launching specific application.  Sorry, mate.

This was very easy to do in windows.

1. Set a key combination you want to use for an application in the OMEN control panel Such as Ctrl+ALT+C and assign to P1 for example

2. Go to properties of the shortcut to your application like chrome or firefox

3. Assign the shortcut combination you assigned in OMEN Control to the app

I use an alternate desktop, so I had to restart for the key combo to get recognized but just killing explorer and restarting should work too.

Right? or am I missing something?

Chrome now launches fine from my P1 key.
