Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

Hi! Awhile ago, in the morning as I was getting ready for school, my laptop started sparking a little bit. Throughout the day, it stopped happening, so I didn't really think about it. But, it's happening again, and more often now. If I tilt my laptop, it sounds like something is hitting the fan, and then it starts sparking and smelling of smoke. If I tilt it the other way, whatever it is rolls somewhere else and it stops happening. I don't really want to go and take it in for repairs, since I'm going to be getting a computer sometime soon and I don't want to be spending my money on that. I also need braces, so I can't be spending any money (I only have 7k NZD atm).
There are a few other problems with my computer, for example my screen has to be clicked back into place often, there are a few screws missing from my laptop, and a few of my ports are broken. What could be the problem and can I fix it without having to take it in for repairs??

Sounds like it is beyond self-help.

My father opened it up and there was a screw loose inside of it. He put it back into place and it fixed the problem. C:

Loose screws don't just happen. You have to track down how it got loose and fix that.
