il mio  Notebook HP Pavilion dv6-6c71el fin dai primi giorni non rilevava la presenza della web cam integrata,fra le periferiche disponibili.Ho inviato il pc al centro assistenza ma  dopo il loro intervento la web cam ha funzionato per 2 settimane  dopodiche si è ripresentato il solito problema.Ho nuovamente inviato il pc al centro assistenza e me lo hanno restituito ieri dicendomi di nn aver effettuato nessun intervento.Per adesso la web cam funziona ma dubito che lo faccia per molto.I malfunzionamenti (come ho spiegato anche all'assistenza) si verificavano principalmente se andavo a modificare l'inclinazione dello schermo ed quindi chiaro che si tratta di un problema di contatto fisico della periferica(cavi, saldature o quant'altro....)

.....è evidente che questo  della webcam true vision HD è un difetto di fabbrica che una azienda seria dovrebbe risolvere con la sostituzione del prodotto.

I've been searching for Months... So Yes im part of this club also... WHAT a crock... Spent £700 for a Laptop to find a fundimental basic part of it does not work... There will never be a solution... Hp clearly don't care. If they did they would not have ignored this for Soooooo Long

i have found the solution

 

open the lid cover of ur laptop (two screws at the botton)

 

and remove the cover of lcd carefully

just press the camera and mic strip and you are done 🙂

This update is for vista but worked for me,I use windows 7 here is the link  http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&softwareitem=ob-47244-1 now shows in device manager and works fine!

This is easy.  The small cable connecting the webcam and microphone seems to pull loose.  To get at it carefully pull back (not off) the black plastic surround to the screen just enough so you can access the webcam.  I started in the top right corner. The cable comes in from underneath the right hand side and uses a connector which on mine had been pulled off a little meaning it did not have a proper connection.  I just pushed it back on fully and hey presto ........... it worked.
