Hi,

I have replaced the motherboard in a Probook 6550b and have now had the following couple of errors. If it is turned off for any reason I get "ME region is not locked. Remove AC and DC of the system and boot again." I can get around this by pressing the Windows Key and the left, down and right cursor keys when I next switch it on. I then get "Hard GPIO-33 To lock To lock SPI, do global reset or remove AC and DC power then boot after updating SPI." I can run DMIFIT but this doesnt seem to rectify the issue as it errors on the last bit with VPro error 7. does anyone have any idea how to fix this as it is not under warranty anymore and I cant really give it back to my customer in this state? Why do HP have to make it so difficult to replace parts on laptops after there warranty has expired with the prices of the spares making them uneconomical to repair? many thanks in advance on this.
