Really hope you can give me a word of advice (except for the one to never do a reflow myself ever again...)
Here's what happend... I did a reflow on the nvidea video chip of a dv9000 as so many have done on for example youtube. I understood from one of the video's that the copper shield can be applied to the nvidea chip as the CPU. (Never should have listened to this...) so after putting the thing back together, the machine only lights up he charger light. not the fan nor the quick button lights. Nothing...
Now the question I have is this.
a) I fried the motherboard by overheating the nvidea chip
b) I broke the CPU by adding too much pressure putting back the heat sink in combination with the copper shield? (should have only placed the copper shield on the Nvidea video chip part)
c) Both of the above?
d) Just totally missed something and it's a smal power issue?
I'm asking this because I need to know what part to replace, the motherboard (hp part# 441534-001) or the CPU.
Many thanks in advance for your responses!
