dv7-1270us USB problem

I have just purchased my 1st HP laptop, so far, the only problem is that it won't recognize the 2 right hand side usb ports. If I plug anything in, it says "usb device not recognized" The left port works fine with anything. Any ideas? (and yes, I've tried installing the devices drivers, etc.) I plug in a Microsoft Sidewinder mouse and the red LEDS don't light up (again, works fine in the left usb port.) Maybe a connection problem and the usbs are not getting enough juice??

Re: dv7-1270us USB problem

Hi,

Just wondering if you found a solution for this problem as my month old dv7-2015tx just started doing the exact samething today.

Re: dv7-1270us USB problem

Hi,

I looked on this forum http://www.ntcompatible.com/thread32356-1.html and read about shutting down completely and removing power.

I shut down my laptop removed the battery and held down the power/startup button for 30 seconds and it has fixed the problem.

Re: dv7-1270us USB problem

I've the same problem and this solved it.

Unfortunately the driver, "Virtual USB Hub," was accidentally deleted during my tingling on the device manager.

OS Windows 7 Home

Can someone please tell me where to obtain "Virtual USB Hub," driver so I can install it back?

Thanks.
