Hi, I have a pavilion g6 2303 sh notebook. I use win 7 x64. I downloaded the driver for my AMD Radeon HD 7670M video card from the hp page: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4132&lc=hu&cc=hu&dlc=hu&sw_lang=&product=5354...

and after trying in vain from the amd homepage. None of them detects my video card.

This hp page only shows drivers for win8, which I will not use.

Where can I find a driver for my video card?

Thanks,

Tom

Hi, Tom:

Use the W7 x64 drivers from th is g6 model.  For the graphics, just use the AMD graphics driver, not the Intel one.

DO NOT USE ANY BIOS OR FIRMWARE DOWNLOADS FROM THIS LINK

Hi Paul!

Thanks for the advice, it worked. If you work for HP may I ask you to indicate this solution to all g6 2303sh owners at the HP  driver download page for the above mentioned model.

If you could help me in another problem I would be grateful.

I have all the drivers for my g6 2303sh here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4132&lc=hu&cc=hu&dlc=hu&sw_lang=&product=5354...

My question: which one should I download from the net or lan section (in hungarian it says: Hálózat) so that my laptop detects the ethernet device. At Control panel - Device Manager there are two yellow marks under "Other devices". One is for ethernet, and the other for "Unknown device"

Thanks,

Tom

You're very welcome, Tom:

I do not work for HP, but even if I did, it is HP's policy to only provide support and drivers for Windows 8 on new consumer PC's.

That has always been the policy (to provide support and drivers only for the current Windows operating system on consumer PC's).

They only provide support and drivers for other Windows operating systems on their business PC's.

The driver you need for the wired network adapter (ethernet) is this one:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-102604-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en...

The unknown device is probably this one...

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-116584-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en...

If the above driver does not install the unknown device, I will need you to post the hardware ID for it.

Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device.

Hi Paul,

You have helped me so much. I reinstalled windows on my hp g6-2303sh laptop. There's only one problem. Device Manager shows the yellow excalamtion mark for "network controller".

I have the network related drivers here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4132&lc=hu&cc=hu&dlc=hu&sw_lang=&product=5354...

it's: "illesztőprogram - Hálózat"

There are 10 files to download. Should I download and install all of them, or which one should solve my problem?

Thanks,

Tom

Hi, Tom:

Please do the following and I will post the link to the driver you need for the wireless card...

Go to the device manager and click on the Network Controller needing drivers.

Then click on the Details tab at the top of the network controller window.

Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description.

Drop down on that and select the second item on the list (Hardware ID's).

Post the top string of characters that begin with PCI\VEN.
