I am becomming increasingly aggravated over the nonsense of refurbishing machines.
Today's headach is a DV6500 with an AMD Turion CPU and NVIDIA graphics
so I bought a replacement brick, not the right connector
4.8mm/1.7mm bullet shape
is evidently not the right one
the connector has a hex nut over it, suggesting its a higher power connector
so can somebody tell me what the proper size is?
the BS over 1001 power connectors is why I am preparing a class action to clean this nonsense up
where do I deal with the battery recall?

Maybe a picture of what you are working with? The dv6500 uses a very common 18.5v 3.5a barrel type adapter like this:
This is a 3 year old post but may still be viable regarding the battery recall:

Too small how? The brick or the plug? I have seen quite a few of that model series and that picture shows the AC adapter that they take, from what I have seen. The make a 65w and 90w version but the plugs are the same.
