Just as the subject, touch screen keeps clicking 1 or several spots so I can't do anything.

(like 10 times in a sec)

It occured a couple of times after I bought this laptop 1 and a half month ago.

Have any idea?

Hi SangM, welcome to the HP Forums. If the screen is 'clicking' by itself, perhaps it needs to be calibrated. Try following the steps to do that, in this document:  Troubleshooting Touch Screen Issues in Windows 8

Let me know how it turns out.

it occurs time to time, so I don't know it is fixed or not.

But I'll try.

Thanks

Keep an eye on it, if it keeps happening it may be a hardware issue.

Oh... it's getting worse and worse!!

It must be an hardware problem. The Touchscreen keeps clicking  upper part of monitor.

It sometimes clicks very fast like 10 times per sec, sometimes once per 2-3 seconds.

Now it clicks once per 2-3 seconds.

I hate this!! it clicks my desktop icons, and links in the web pages.

Here's the link of the video.

Should I send this back to the factory?

or please tell me how to disable the touch screen.

Thank you!

Yes SangM, it does look like a hardware issue. If you have an external mouse connected, disconnect it to ensure it is not the mouse causing the issue, and then reboot.

Here are the requested steps to disable the touchscreen:  Enable or Disable Touch Screen In Windows 8

After troubleshooting, when you determine the issue is hardware, or even if you are not sure, don't just accept disabling the touchscreen as a resolution. If you are under warranty, I highly recommend contacting support for repair options: HP Technical Support, North America 1-800-474-6836. For all other regions click here.

Good luck. I hope this helps.

I have the same problem. WHen the issue happens, it is so bad you cannot follow the instructions to disable the touchscreen. The only solution is to force a power off and reboot. Of course that is not very good for the computer either.

I will say that it does not happen that often, but when it does, there is no way to clear it.

It appears to happen most often when the lid has been closed for a period of time. When the lid re-opens, the touch screen goes crazy.
