I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MODEL OR HP TO ANYONE! this laptop makes loud noises and the lap itself is extremely heavy.. DO NOT BUY IT
I really don't know what to do now can anyone help me out?

Hi,
If you tap away at f10 as you start the PC to launch your bios menu, you should find ( under the Advanced or Diagnostic tab ) the facility to run a test on the Hard Drive and Memory. Run the HDD test first and if this passes, run a test on the Memory.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,
DP-K

Thanks for your reply, but now the lap doesn't even boot. After 2-3 seconds it shuts down.

Same problem, exactly the same model as well. Mine boots though and I can use it fine off of the battery. Is your charger plugged in? If so unplug it and try booting again, I have 0 problems when running off the battery.

Hi,
According to the specifictions for your laptop, it comes with 2x2Gb Ram Modules. It may be worth removing one of these Ram Modules and check whether the laptop will boot. If it doesn't, move the still installed module to the empty slot and try again. If the PC still won't boot, swap it with the Module you first removed and try this in both slots.
Regards,
