I've only had my new tm2t for a few days, and now I keep getting the Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) after not even a minute of being logged in. I can get into Safe Mode without it happening, but not when I start Windows normally. I did a system diagnostics and everything passed. This all started when I tried to plug in my AC adapter and the laptop tried to switch GPUs, which leads me to believe that there's a GPU failure or something along those lines.
I'm inclined to return it for a replacement, but not if I can fix it here with a little help from tech support and/or the forums.

If running XP or Vista this may be related to a Windows Update problem I stumbled across last week. My friend's brother said he just "clicked ok to update" and now he gets the BSoD. After calling Dell they informed me that there is an update, KB977165, that is causing somewhat widespread BSoDs on Windows XP and Vista systems. This is not related to a specific brand of laptop or PC, but is related to these two operating systems. When I contacted Dell they told me they would fix it for a fee or that Microsoft would fix this for free if called.
Make sure that this is the case by calling your PC/laptop manufacturer, I assume HP, first to verify. This also requires that one have the Windows install disk that came with the machine. Good luck.

@legobumb
Hi,
Go to:
C:\WINDOWS\Minidump
and pack all files from there with WinRar.
Add this packed file as attachment in Your next reply.

I'm having the exact same problem.
I received my tm2t on Fri and since have had 15 documented BSOD crashes (sometimes no BSOD... Just black screen then reboot).
It started the first time I tried to swich from laptop mode to tablet mode (iaw: rotating the screen) but now happens just at randoms times.
I called tech support and spoke with Abskjfdlsbdfpvi who ran through a series of random bios "diagnostics" and a Bios upgrade (that was a waste of time).
I asked him about sending my dump reports and he said that after all of these tests plus some more software tests, then we would do that.
Not happy with this laptop...
Not happy with HP support...
For anyone who cares and knows what they're looking at, I'm attaching my rar'ed up dump reports.
Help me Obi wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.

Add this packed file as attachment in Your next reply. How do you attach the file to the reply? I don't see a way to do this. Thanks!
Update: Never mind, I saw another post of yours pointing to saving the file at an external server like minidump and providing a link to it in the message. Thanks!

I am having the same problem.
Minidump here: http://www.tecr3w.com/Dumps.zip
it can range from anywhere between a few minutes to a few hours between crashes. Sometimes I can't even log in.

Just to update everyone on this issue... After a couple of failed attempts to reinstall the operating system on this machine (ie: Attempting to reinstall OS yielded BSOD), I had no choice but to return the TM2T to HP for warranty replacement. It took longer to receive the replacement than it did to receive the originally ordered item but I finally did and the replacement has worked flawlessly.
Hope this helps.
