I've exhausted my searches on this one. I have a Pavilion DV6-1334US. Suddenly it won't boot, just continually resets to the HP Invent screen. I can hit escape and get the menu, but the F11 restore function does not work. I can get into BIOS, but that doesn't help. I didn't have a WIN7 boot CD, so I made one from another machine(an Acer), and that will boot me to a menu. I tried to do a System Restore and a System Image restore from the boot CD menu, but it doesn't seem to work. I can access the data on the drive in a DOS window. Is this something fixable, or is this a motherboard problem, which is my opinion. I have a Square Trade warranty on this, so I need to make sure I exhausted my options before I have a professional try to service it.
I also tried connecting a working bootable drive from another laptop, and the system says to install a drive with an operating system, so it is not reading it.
